What we collect
Reading Gamer Industry News does not require an account. If you sign up for the newsletter we store the email address you give us and the date you submitted it. No newsletter is being sent yet: addresses are collected only so we can write to you when the briefing launches.
Messages you send us
When you use the contact form, your name, email address, message and the time you sent it are stored in this publication's private database, where only the owner account can read them. We also store a one-way hash of your network address and your browser's user agent string, purely to limit automated abuse of the form.
Messages are not forwarded to an external email inbox. Sending the form is not proof that the desk has seen or acted on your message.
Newsroom accounts
One account operates this publication, signed in with Google. It stores an email address and an authentication record. Creating any other account grants no access to newsroom data.
Analytics and tracking
We do not run a third-party analytics or advertising service on this site, and we do not set tracking cookies. Our hosting and database provider keeps ordinary server records needed to serve pages and to operate the newsroom sign-in.
Sharing
We do not sell reader data. Data is shared only with the infrastructure providers needed to operate the site.
Requests about your data
Use the contact form to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to ask for removal. Requests are handled manually by the owner of the publication, so we cannot promise an automatic or immediate deletion, and some records may be kept where we are required to keep them. Tell us the exact email address involved so we can find it.
