itch.io says its latest itch app release adds collection editing with automatic synchronization and Steam shortcuts that launch Windows games through Proton on Linux. The release includes Butler v15.32.0.

The collection tools let users change a game's memberships across collections and create new collections in one dialog. A separate bulk editor on collection pages supports reordering and removing items.

Steam Shortcuts arrived in the previous app version. itch.io says this update adds Proton support and fixes for more Steam installation and profile configurations following tester feedback, giving developers distributing Windows games through itch another route into players' Linux Steam libraries.

Separately, itch.io previews itch donk, its effort to bring the app to low-powered Linux retro gaming handhelds. The company says file scanning to identify compatible platforms or runtimes still needs substantial work.
