Naughty Dog has new The Last of Us projects in early development
Neil Druckmann says more projects are underway, but Naughty Dog has not identified them as standalone games or expansions.

Neil Druckmann says Naughty Dog is developing a couple of new The Last of Us projects intended to extend the series' canon beyond Part I and Part II. He described the work as being at a very early stage.
For developers and publishers tracking the studio's pipeline, the announcement signals further franchise investment without clarifying product scope. Naughty Dog has not specified whether the projects are standalone games or additions to existing titles.
The studio previously pursued The Last of Us Online, a live service project it canceled in 2023. That history does not establish the format of the new work.
Separately, Game Developer reports that Naughty Dog plans to fully reveal Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet in 2027, with no further details before then.
