Rockstar workers to vote on union recognition around GTA VI launch
The November ballot is separate from a tribunal over Rockstar's dismissal of more than 30 union employees in 2025.

Rockstar Games employees are set to vote on recognizing the IWGB Rockstar Game Workers Union from November 12 to November 26, 2026. The union announced the ballot, which spans Grand Theft Auto VI's planned November 19 release.
The vote is independent of an ongoing tribunal concerning Rockstar's dismissal of more than 30 union employees in 2025. Closing arguments are scheduled for November 17 and 18; former employees and IWGB have characterized the dismissals as union busting.
For staff, the ballot concerns representation as questions about working conditions and post-release employment remain in focus. Easton-Steel said opaque management decisions hinder employees' ability to address the gender pay gap, overtime pay policies and job security after release.
Rockstar head of publishing Jennifer Koble said employees would have a union if they wanted one.
