Roblox says players will be able to launch games in Chrome without installing its app by the end of 2026. The browser player was among the distribution and creation plans outlined at its developer conference on September 11.

The company also described a future option for creators to release standalone apps powered by Roblox's underlying services. That remains a stated plan, rather than a generally available publishing route.

On creation, Roblox is expanding the public alpha of its prompt-based Build tool to Serbia and Singapore. Availability varies by age and region. A scene-generation tool for Build and Studio is planned for later this year.

For creator businesses, the distribution question is how much friction sits between a recommendation and a first play. Browser access could shorten that path, but developers still need to evaluate the released implementation, supported devices and discovery rules. A roadmap alone does not establish audience growth or commercial results.
